چه موقع کلسترول بالای خون نگران کننده است؟
سطح بالای کلسترول یکی از فاکتورهای مهم ریسک برای بیماریهای قلب است. (فاکتور ریسک چیزی است که شانس شما را برای بیمای زیادتر می کند.) سایر فاکتورهای عمده ریسک عبارتند از:
– سیگار کشیدن
– فشار خون زیاد
– عدم فعالیت بدنی و ورزش
هرچقدر سطح کلسترول خون شما زیاد باشد، خطر بیماریهای قلبی شما زیادتر است.
بطور کلی ریسک سکته قلبی شما زیادتر است اگر سطح کلسترول خون شما بالا باشد و یکی دیگر از فاکتورهای عمده فوق را نیز داشته باشید. مثلا اگر سیگار بکشید، یا اینکه فشار خونتان بالا باشد یا اینکه فعالیت های ورزشی نداشته باشید.
هرچه فاکتورهای ریسک شما زیادتر باشد، ریسک داشتن سکته قلبی شما زیادتر است.
سایر فاکتورهای مربوط به «سبک زندگی» که ریسک بیماری های قلبی را افزایش می دهد عبارت اند از:
– نخوردن چربیهای امگا-۳ (که در ماهی های چرب یافت می شود).
– نخوردن میوه و سبزیجات بحد کافی.
– اضافه وزن داشتن یا فربهی (زیاد چاق بودن).
– نوشیدن زیاده از حد الکل.
– مصرف زیاده از حد نمک.
اگر شما قبلاً آنژین صدری، دیابت یا سکته قلبی داشته اید، ریسک سکته قلبی شما زیادتر می شود. افرادی نیز که فاکتور FM در خانواده دارند و داشتن کلسترول خون در سطح بالا در خانواده آنان موروثی است، ریسک سکته های قلبی آنان زیاد است
