علایم روماتیسم قلبی متفاوت است و اغلب تا زمان صدمه در روی قلب مورد توجه قرار نمی گیرد.شاید ظاهر شدن علایم بستگی به محل و اندازه آسیب قلبی باشد.تب – کاهش وزن – خستگی – درد معده – التهاب مفاصل شامل تورم،حساسیت وقرمزی در مفاصل متعدد. مفاصلی که مبتلا هستند اغلب مفاصل بزرگ در زانوها و یا مچ پاها میباشد.التهاب درعرض چند روز از مفاصل به قسمت های دیگرحرکت میکند – نودلهای کوچک و سخت اطراف برجستگی های زیر پوست – یک تغییر در حرکات اعصاب ماهیچه های بچه های شما (این اغلب بوسیله تغییر در دست نوشته های فرزند شما مورد توجه قرار می گیرد و همچنین می تواند شامل حرکات تشنجی شود – کهیر راشهای عجیب وغر یب که اغلب در روی تنه بدن و یا در بازوها و ساق پاهادیده میشود.
شایع‌ترین نقطه‌ای از بدن به جز مفاصل و ستون مهره‌ها که درگیر تب روماتیسمی میشود، پوست است. شاید بتوان گفت، اولین بروز علائم روماتیسمی از ناحیه پوست است و حتی اولین بروز آن با مشکلات پوستی و مقاومت به درمان‌های دارویی، همراه است. پوست، کلیه‌ها، ریه، مغز، چشم‌ها از خطر روماتیسم در امان نیستند. بسیاری از افرادی که دچار قرمزی یک طرفه چشم می‌شوند و تاری دید می‌گیرند و کم کم بهبود پیدا می‌کنند و بعد از مدتی دوباره دچار این علائم می‌شوند در معرض روماتیسم هستند. در این افراد می‌گوییم این عارضه اولین علائم خود را از ناحیه چشم آغاز کرده است.
